Our doors feature an interior release to prevent you from being locked inside and a patent-pending panic room slider, unlike anything on the market. It is designed to prevent someone from entering the room even if they have the exterior code!

Fire Lining Specifics

We take our fireproofing seriously and never cut corners. We offer one and two-hour additions. There are many misconceptions in the safe industry when it comes to fire lining. Buyer beware if a safe's interior has more fireboard than metal - it offers minimal fire protection.

The Safe Gal’s lined design takes the task of protecting your valuables to the next level. At The Safe Gal, we start with a ¼” or ⅜” safe body (C). Next, we fit a 3/16” fire liner safe body including the bottom and top end cap into the interior allowing a pocket to be formed around the entire safe (G). The fire-rated material (rated at 1-2 hours) is then inserted into the pocket (B) followed by the upper sealing end cap (A). We aren’t finished yet. The interior door cover is made of fire proofing material and lastly, we seal the deal by adding our fire-rated expanding door seal on all 3 jams (H). The Safe Gal thrives in taking protection to the next level.

Steel thickness is an important consideration when choosing a safe because it affects fire & theft protection and the weight of the safe.
The Safe Gal safes are built with a standard steel thickness of a quarter inch (1/4") and we offer options up to one inch (1") thick. Note: thick, robust steel is not commonly used by many safe manufacturers, as it can increase the weight of the safe, which affects production costs and shipping.
