Q: How Can I Verify The Steel Thickness Of Any Safe On The Market?

Safe manufacturers that use thick steel are proud to display that information. If the steel thickness of a safe is not easily found, it's not important to them, or they don't want you to know. The Safe Gal safes are built standard with 1/4" steel (upgraded thickness available).

Q: How Are Your Safe Bodies Formed?

Our safe bodies are formed from one single sheet of steel, which increases the strength of the body. Beware of companies that use multiple, thin gauge layers pieced together to form the body.

Q: Does The Weight Of The Safe Mean It's Made Of Thick Steel?

No. Safe weight can be manipulated by using materials that increase the weight without using thick steel. Example: composite doors appear 4-6 inches deep, but they are mostly tubing with filler to give the illusion of a thick, secure door. The Safe Gal doors are solid steel, heavy, and provide unmatched protection.

Q: Can I I Bolt My Safe To The Ground?

Yes. The Safe Gal safes come standard with four ½" predrilled holes on the bottom end cap. Customize the location of your predrilled holes by requesting the change when ordering.

Q: Do You Import Any Of Your Safes?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! We are proud to be AMERICAN-MADE! All The Safe Gal safes are fabricated in our plant in Fresno, CA.

Q: Are The Safe Gal Safes Rated For Dispensary And Insurance Needs?

The short answer is YES! However, industry standards change often, and some cities/states require more or less than others. If the information listed here doesn't fit your needs, we can design a safe that does in a timely fashion!

1/4" steel offers protection against theft and 30 minutes of fire protection.

Fire Rating

Fire rating is based on steel thickness and interior construction. Go with stock protection, or upgrade.

Hand-Crafted Bolts

Your safe comes with ACTIVE, 1” thick stainless-steel bolts, machined in-house!
Relocking System

If the interior lock is destroyed, the re-locker engages, and the door requires a locksmith (and detailed instructions) to open.

Fire Lining Specifics

We take our fireproofing seriously and never cut corners. We offer one and two-hour additions. There are many misconceptions in the safe industry when it comes to fire lining. Buyer beware if a safe's interior has more fireboard than metal - it offers minimal fire protection.

The Safe Gal’s lined design takes the task of protecting your valuables to the next level. At The Safe Gal, we start with a ¼” or ⅜” safe body (C). Next, we fit a 3/16” fire liner safe body including the bottom and top end cap into the interior allowing a pocket to be formed around the entire safe (G). The fire-rated material (rated at 1-2 hours) is then inserted into the pocket (B) followed by the upper sealing end cap (A). We aren’t finished yet. The interior door cover is made of fire proofing material and lastly, we seal the deal by adding our fire-rated expanding door seal on all 3 jams (H). The Safe Gal thrives in taking protection to the next level.

The Safe Gal safes are built with a standard steel thickness of a quarter inch (1/4") and we offer options up to one inch (1") thick. Note: thick, robust steel is not commonly used by many safe manufacturers, as it can increase the weight of the safe, which affects production costs and shipping.
